It is amazing to have been recognised for my work at the awards and to receive high praise from those within the publishing industry.

My successful entry, The Bug Garden, is a 32 page children's picture book following a young girl, Flora, who is obsessed with all things creepy crawlies. After learning that her housing estate has caused the loss of the bug-friendly landscape, Flora vows to talk to each bug and learn how she can build a bug garden for all of the bugs to thrive in.
