Hi, I'm Charlotte Jones and I'm a children's illustrator from the Midlands in the UK!

My illustrative work has been recognised by two prestigious national awards for illustration:

• 2nd place at the Penguin Cover Design Award, Children's Category 2022

• Highly Commended at the Macmillan Prize for Illustration 2023.

I have a passion for storytelling, bright colours and

bringing characters to life with quirky expressions.

​

My biggest creative inspirations are the beauty of everyday life, nature, and our connections with one another, which allow me to create playful and authentic illustrations. I aim to create children’s illustrations that fully immerse young readers in a story’s charm and make them fall in love with storytelling through art, the way I did in my own childhood.

Outside of illustration, I am a talented marketer and graphic designer in higher education. With a keen interest in education, I am also interested in editorial pieces for children's activity and educational books.
